Robotex India recently hosted Regional Championships in Pune, Chennai, and Indore, with participants from private institutions, colleges. A first wherein government school students participated alongside students from private schools. Students from government schools gave an outstanding performance, with a remarkable 75% qualifying for Nationals.
In October, Pune played host to the National Championship, attracting over 4000 participants competing in 10 categories. Students from government schools showcased their prowess by securing the top 15 ranks, with nearly 50 students qualifying for the International Championship in Tallinn, Estonia. This achievement underscores their unwavering dedication and remarkable talent.
A first in the history of our country, 9 government school students from low-strata communities participated in the Robotex International Championship 2023. These students traveled to Tallinn, Estonia in Europe representing their CSR sponsors BMC software, PMC Schools and most importantly India at a global platform.
Two teams emerged victorious, one clinching the Line Follower category at the National Championship, and the other achieving a top 10 rank in the Entrepreneurship Challenge. Robotex India students also secured the 5th rank for Smart River Cleaning and the 7th rank for the Four-Layer Authentication System, showcasing their adept problem-solving skills on a global platform.
In January 2024, students from low-income government schools in India participated in regional and national competitions to qualify for the prestigious Robotex Asia Championship 2024. With the support of our CSR Partner, BNY Mellon, the students travelled to Shanghai, China to represent India on the international stage. The talented students made a remarkable impression, claiming the second prize in the Line Follower category by outperforming over 6,000 participants. Additionally, they achieved impressive rankings of 4th, 5th, and 6th in the Entrepreneurship Challenge by presenting their innovative projects to an international audience, showcasing their creativity and entrepreneurial spirit.
Robotex India recently hosted the National Championship on 10th and 11th August 2024 at MIT Art, Design and Technology University, Pune City.
The event featured participants from both private and government institutions, marking a significant milestone as government school students competed alongside their private school peers. This impressive championship brought together over 2000 participants, 100+ robots, and 1000+ young entrepreneurs, showcasing exceptional talent and innovation.
